Rappers are competitors and that’s why it’s to no surprise that Lil Wayne is trying to steal some of the Jay-Z x Kanye West x Watch The Throne buzz by dropping his official tracklist to Tha Carter IV. Check it out. It has some interesting features including the obvious Drake, T-Pain, Cory Gunz, Rick Ross and then Tech N9ne, Jadakiss, Nas, Shyne and Busta Rhymes. Dope rappers need hot beats. This is some nicely produced stuff right here from J.D. Anderson and Javid Louis over at the.LIFE Files.  Can’t wait to see what else they got in store for their TV / webseries videos this year.

In this installment of the.LIFE Files TV we catch up with Shyne in the holy land Jerusalem where he currently resides. Shyne can be seen walking through the streets of Jerusalem where he does a few impromptu freestyles for his fans as well as going to the club and discussing the bible with elder Rabbis. Po gets deep in this exclusive clip and talks about his inevitable return to the United States.

We then head over to Englewood, NJ to catch up with Dorian Grace, owner of Dlux NJ – an upscale clothing boutique. Dorian gives us a tour of her space and shows us some of her new pieces you may have seen on the likes of Nicole Richie and Rihanna – while talking about her inspiration for fashion, working with model India (Charli Baltimore’s daughter) for her look book and being an entrepreneur.

This guy Curtis Jackson is one GREAT ENTERTAINER.  50 Cent may not be the hottest rapper anymore but Curtis can still entertain.  So what happened was Def Jam x Best of Both Offices held a conference call with Shyne this afternoon and someone gave Curtis the call in number and passcode.  The rest is history…

More greatness from Nintendo the ItsTheReal brothers. With Shyne not making any sense on his new raps except for calling out 50 Cent, it’s only right that they settle it in the Def Jam Vendetta ring.

Shyne Signs A 7-Figure Deal With Def Jam

Miss Info broke the news yesterday that Shyne has signed a 7-figure record deal with Def Jam.  I hope Def Jam has some insane marketing plan ready because if Shyne keeps rapping like he did on the DJ Khaled track, the homie might be done.

“Multiple sources have confirmed to me that Shyne Po has signed a 7-figure deal with Def Jam. This ends a bidding war that had industry bigwigs vying for Shyne’s attention, flying to Belize, calling and courting, ever since the Brooklyn emcee was released from prison and deported to Belize back in October.”

Shyne gave a speech to Belize prison inmates about the night his shooting incident went down, his experience during his incarceration, and about Alex Rodriguez and Rihanna visiting him.  Yup, you read that correctly – A-Rod and Ri Ri are friends with Shyne Po.

Shyne Will Be Deported To Belize

So unfortunately Hot 97′s Angie Martinez broke this news:

Shyne’s team is fighting to stay in the US where his mother and his grandmother live and where they raised him….but it seems like he’s going to have to continue the fight from Belize. Shyne will be released from Immigration custody but will then be deported to Belize soon. He has Harvard Professor Charles Ogletree advocating on his behalf in concert with his legal team. They’re still urging fans to reach out to Governor Patterson’s office to petition for Shyne’s pardon (click here for Paterson’s email and his address) but deportation is imminent.

And what about Shyne’s mental state? Angie says “Shyne is one of the strongest people I know and he’s handling this situation just as I’d expect him to. It must be frustrating for all of his friends and family; he served his time, and keeps getting all these different dates and conflicting information. But he’s a soldier, he’s dealing with it.”

Shyne Is Still In Federal Custody

I guess we were all prematurely celebrating the man’s prison release as Shyne’s lawyer Oscar Michelen told MTV reporters yesterday:

“Shyne is currently in federal custody while his future immigration status is determined.  I think [the basis for the rumor] was created by a computer…because the Department of Corrections has a Web site where you can do an inmate lookup. And if you have the information, it will show you that [Shyne's] earlier release date was originally April [of this year] and then June. And we don’t now how that was in there. But it showed that. And then what would happen is before a release date, [an inmate] would get produced before a parole board, and in the institution, there would be rumors that [Shyne] was up for parole. I guess inmates or guards would spread the rumor.”

Shyne Is A Free Man

Welcome home Shyne!  Once you get the time, please get back in the studio and make some more bangers like “Bad Boyz,” “Bonnie and Shyne,” and “More or Less”.

Rapper Shyne is expected to be released from prison today, as initially reported on HipHopDX this August. The 30 year-old rapper a/k/a Jamal Barrow was sentenced to 10 years in June of 2001 for charges stemming from a high-publicized 1999 shooting incident involving Diddy and Jennifer Lopez. During his eight-plus year sentence, the Brooklyn emcee was incarcerated at Riker’s Island, Woodbourne and Clinton Correctional Facility. – The Former Slave Fields
