After former MMG artist Pill stated that he actually never signed a contract with Ross (he was just apart of the team), he still stated that he has no beef with them but is in no longer contact with The Bawse because he never reached out to him. With his mixtape The Diagnosis already out, the Atlanta trap-rapper decided to drop us a video to get us ready for The Epidemic.
Video: Rapper Pill Explains Why He Left Maybach Music

I’m not exactly sure what Warner and Rick Ross had intentions to do with Pill, but it certainly wasn’t what he had hoped. They basically wasted dude’s time. Yes, he was put on the album, but what else? Like he stated in the video, Ross never pushed for anything of his the way that he did for Wale’s and Meek Mill’s. No where near it.
“I never really went on tour with them; I never really did anything with them,”
That’s the truest statement throughout the entire video. Pill is from the ‘A’ and that’s where he resides, but he never received any kind of invites to attend events. Yes, Ross is a “boss,” which in return makes it his job to make sure that his “employees” get those kinds of things.
Any chance Pill joins his four Freddie Gibbs over at C.T.E. (tell me that wouldn’t start some even more beef)?
Music Video: Rick Ross Feat. Pill, Meek Mill, Torch & French Montana – Big Bank

One of the hardest tracks off of the newly formed group Maybach Music’s debut album “Self Made Vol. 1,” and it’s one of their best music videos yet. Glad to see the homie Pill getting some love in this spot, too. Seems like he’s the ugly duckling of the group while Ross, Wale and Meek get the majority of the spotlight. French Montana’s pink hat, though? .. Yeah
Teaser: Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill & Pill’s “By Any Means” Video

Arguably the hottest rap group in the game right now, Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group (MMG) has taken the rap world by storm. Off their first studio album titled “Self Made,” the crew dropped a banger called “By Any Means.” For those who don’t understand the meaning of this track, the song is named, and about, Malcom X’s famous speech.
We declare our right on this earth to be a human being, to be respected as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being in this society, on this earth, in this day, which we intend to bring into existence by any means necessary. Our objective is complete freedom, justice and equality by any means necessary.
As you can tell by the giant Malcom X mural that’s painted on the side of a building in the streets of Philadelphia, this video already looks dope just by the teaser. I’m not sure if Wale and Pill will be making an appearance or not, but we already know Meek holds it down for his city.
Turn That ‘Lil Beef Into A Patty Melt: Freddie Gibbs Disses Rick Ross & His Crew In New Track

During both my Middle and High School years, I became a big fan of a guy who grew up 15 minutes down the road; Gary Indiana’s own Freddie Gibbs. He could spit, his flows were colder than Chicago winters and he was a neighborhood favorite. After a while he kind of fell off the map, disappeared, and is now apart of Jeezy’s team; C.T.E. “The World.”
We all know about Jeezy’s beef with Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka, which Gibbs has stated he doesn’t like neither of them. And for the past couple of months there have been rumors going around that Jeezy and Rick Ross have been beefing and said to be sending little signals throughout their tracks at each other. Somewhere along the line I think this all started when Ross paid tribute to former Black Mafia leader Big Meech with his track “BMF,” which Ross stated that he thinks he’s Big Meech by the lifestyle that he lives. Although Jeezy has addressed the beef, it seems like Gibbs isn’t having none of that and decided to diss Ross and his Maybach crew in his new song titled “187 Proof.”
From Rap Genius:
[Verse 1]
I grew up wishing my life would be like the Cosby’s
I go that extra mile to escape this ghetto monotony
See how this vicious cycle could fuck wit you psychologically
You better cooperate with the state or become they property
Bitch my name be breaking bail from the street to the jailhouse
And it ain’t no transaction unless I came wit my scale out
Roll in yo college, I just might fuck up and fail out
Fucking bitch after bitch, stacking my chips, all I care bout
Fuck wit GBA, bitch I need a CPA, come and count it up
Thousand thugs tryna catch him crowded around the bus
We start to throw down, if you down to fuck, then you down wit us
I know hoes that’ll smoke a stick, sloppy drunk, and get powdered up
This corporate thug world, they like you but they love the realest
Straight Gary gangsta shit, didn’t come up off no fucking gimmicks, bitch
2Pac ain’t back cuz he got set up and shot in the chest
Biggie ain’t either, so won’t y’all gon let them niggas rest?[Hook]
I’m 187 proof, streets or the fucking booth
I’m hard to kill like Steven Seagal wit yo fucking troops
Yo choppas ain’t chopping shit if yo niggas ain’t down to shoot
And I’m ready to R.I.P. any nigga that y’all recruit
Cuz I’m 187 proof, streets or the fucking booth
I speak a foreign language, I think y’all call that the truth
It’s Gibbs, bitch[Verse 2]
A walking 187, 187 crazy
Sick like Moammar Gadhafi, straight 187 babies
I reach for that reefer stench and my shit knocking Brotha Lynch
So lock me in correctional, but you can’t fix me or fucking see me
You know who you fucking with? A nigga who got shit to lose
I got niggas that rob you and rape yo bitch if they in the mood
Check my record, I been a fool, semi autos all in my locker
Flow stupid like I rode the bus to school with Waka Flocka
187 ways to die, bitch, this the end
6 niggas put 600 holes in yo 600 Benz
Bitch, I’m murder proof, I’mma live forever
Duncan block, Virginia street, bitch, we the clique together
Ask Pill who the real, bet he mention (Gibbs)
Killing niggas in the 4th Ward, shout out to my nigga Slick
Shout out to my nigga Hit, West side murder cat
Some of my niggas flow, but most of them beat that murder rep[Hook]
Cuz I’m 187 proof, streets or the fucking booth
I speak a foreign language, I think y’all call that the truth
Cuz I’m 187 proof, streets or the fucking booth
I speak a foreign language, I think y’all call that the truth
It’s Gibbs, bitch
The lyrics that are highlighted are the ones that caught my eye that seem like a diss. Gibbs has made it clear that he’s cool with Pill, but as for Ross, Meek Mill and Wale? Not so much. It will be interesting to see if this continues to grow into a little something more because hey, all fans of hip-hop love a good beef every now and then, right?
You can listen to the track here.
Rick Ross Covers October’s Issue Of XXL Alongside His Maybach Music Team
Call him a Police Officer, call him fake, hell, call him whatever you want to call him, but at least respect him. The Florida-born rapper, Rick Ross, blew up the hip-hop scene back in 2006 when his highly anticipated album “Port of Miami” took the world by storm. After releasing his second album “Trilla” back in ’08, a photo surfaced of the big-bellied rude boy in a Correctional Officer’s uniform (he denied it was him at first) in which he worked as during the early 90′s. Many thought that would end his career, but it might have been the best thing to happen to him.
After becoming arguably the hottest rapper in the game right now (easily my favorite rapper of all-time), how does one outdo himself? He goes out and starts his own team. Maybach Music Group, which features artists Wale (formerly with Interscope), Atlanta Trap Rapper Pill and Philadelphia street rider Meek Mill, not only have they taken the hip-hop game by storm during the second half of the year, they’re probably the best and most versatile group in rap. Lets not forget that he already has his “Go Hard” group Triple C’s (Gunplay, Torch and Young Breed). As the saying goes, give respect when it’s do. Hip-Hop magazine XXL decided to make a two issue series, one featuring The Boss by himself and the other featuring the whole crew. Like I said, whether you like him or not he’s here to stay.
“I’m self-made, you just affiliated.”
Pill – The Diagnosis (Mixtape)

I haven’t been able to figure out the hype or talent that is Pill but he’s Maybach Music Group so I’m sure a few of you are checking for his material. In order of MMG talent though, it goes Rozay > Stalley > Meek Mill > Wale > Pill. I think Rick Ross signed Pill because he just needed a rapper with dreads in his crew. Rick Ross and his Maybach Music Group team gave New York City media an exclusive first listen to their upcoming Self Made MMG compilation album. To cap off the night, the crew gave a live performance of Tupac Back with French Montana and newest MMG signee Stalley chilling up front with them. Stalley’s got a show tonight – maybe Rozay, Wale and them roll through?
