If in about 3-8 months from now I’m posting a meaningless clip from a Philadephlia 76ers and Phoenix Suns game of Andre Iguodala posterizing Leandro Barbosa – it’ll be because of this play where Barbosa broke Iggy’s ankles in yesterday’s Brazil vs Team USA game.

Even though we’re in the middle of the World Cup frenzy, I’m sure Nash will have some surprises in store for the fans. At least three NBA ballers are already confirmed to play – Brandon Jennings (Milwaukee Bucks), Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs), and Jared Dudley (Phoenix Suns). I’m sure other players will be rolling through too since the NBA Draft is this Thursday. I’ll definitely be rolling through to take in the action so say what up if you see me. It’s going down at Nike Football x Sara D Roosevelt Park on Houston Street (in between Chrystie and Stanton street).
NBA stars. Soccer’s best. An urban field. A sweet 8-a-side game of futbol in the middle of a city benefiting children’s programs on three continents.
Steve brings his passion to play in this innovative match that any sports fan will love. Showcasing athletes from two sports, Showdown is the beautiful game at its most creative. With international rosters that have included Steve Nash, Thierry Henry, Claudio Reyna, Tony Parker, Adrian Mutu, Grant Hill, Ivan Cordoba, Baron Davis, Javier Zanetti, Ryan Babel, Salomon Kalou, Simone Sandri, Martin Nash, Mathieu Flamini, Edgar Davids and Chris Bosh the Showdowns are events not to be missed!
The Showdown in Chinatown is a free to the public event located on Chrystie St. and Stanton St. on the lower east side. Steve Nash, Claudio Reyna, Tony Parker, Simone Motto, Brandon Jennings, Giuseppe Rossi and more! For ways to make your assist for kids, click here.

After Ron Artest hit the game winning putback last night, he made sure to rep his hood – Queensbridge. And he made Craig Sager rep his hood too! The bridge is not over! I bet the Phoenix Suns wish it was…

As I just got home from picking up a new pair of Nike Zoom Kobe V’s, I thought I should post the filthy behind the back move KB24 pulled on grandpa Grant Hill last night. Kobe’s just been showing Hill no mercy this series.
Shannon Brown’s Dunk Attempt of The Year
I’m surprised Shannon Brown missed this dunk over Jason Richardson last night because I know he’s completed this same exact dunk multiple times on Luke Walton and Adam Morrison during Laker’s practices.
Kobe Bryant Breaks Grant Hill’s Ankles
The commentary on this video is great! Did Grant Hill fall because he’s too old and slow or because Kobe Bryant is simply the greatest basketball player on the Earth (present day)?!

Note to NBA defenders: GET OUT OF AMARE STOUDEMIRE’s WAY! Ryan Hollins – do you watch TV or use the internet? Haven’t you seen Amare posterize Dante Cunningham, Richard Jefferson, and Anthony Tolliver this season? I’m hoping for the sake of other player’s in the league, that I don’t have to post another Amare dunk for the rest of the year.

We’ve already seen Amare Stoudemire dunk on Portland Trailblazer’s Dante Cunningham and San Antonio Spurs’ Richard Jefferson but after watching this cram on Golden State Warrior’s Anthony Tolliver, I’m speechless…
“Yo! Did you see what Amar’e just did to Anthony Tolliver? Call CSI Oakland cause he just killed that man” – Austin Burton of Dime Magazine

Minnesota Timberwolves’ Corey Brewer is showing dudes in the NBA who try to block his dunks absolutely no mercy! Between this dunk over Phoenix Sun’s Robin Lopez and his dunk over Derek Fisher, he’s becoming one of the league’s best in game dunkers. Shouts to Dime for finding the footage!
