Andre Johnson Could Miss Up To Six Weeks
Aside from Peyton Manning, is there any other player in the league that’s more important to their team than Andre Johnson? Hell, even the Patriots went 11-5 after Tom Brady was lost in the first game of the season three years ago. Johnson — not Calvin Johnson, either — is the best wide receiver in the league, hands down. Between the size, the speed, the athleticism, the leaping ability, the attitude and the fearlessness to go across the middle, how can you not agree? Before injuring his hamstring back in Week 4, ‘Dre was off to a hot start this season with 352 yards and two touchdowns to go with his 25 receptions.
Since then, the Texans have dropped two straight games — one at home and one on the road — and can’t seem to establish any kind of passing game, or running game for that matter. The problem with losing a guy like Johnson is that teams no longer have to gameplan around him, there’s no longer a need for the double-team and it gives opponents the opportunity to commit to another defender when it comes to stopping the run. According to CBS Houston, Johnson stated that his doctor believes he could miss at least another four games, but of course ‘Dre remains optomistic:
“They say it could take up to six weeks at the most,” Johnson said. ”But I don’t think it will take me that long.”
Despite being in the league for 9 years now, Johnson has been relatively healthy throughout his illustrious career — minus the 7 games he missed during the 2007-08 season –. For Houston’s sake, they better hope that Andre is right about his return time, luckily for them they have to play the Jaguars (win), Browns (win) and Buccaneers (loss) before heading into their bye week.
Football Cops Starring Peyton & Eli Manning

DirectTV just released this new trailer to a new cop drama called Football Cops. I can’t tell if it’s real or not. The only reason I think it’s fake is because it stars Super Bowl winning quarterbacks Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts and Eli Manning of the New York Giants. Then again, it looks kinda real and everything on the website seems legit. The YouTube description of the video doesn’t seem to be any gimmick either. I guess it makes sense for the Manning brothers to find a new job, especially considering they probably won’t be playing any football this Fall.
A sneak peek at Football Cops, the new cop drama starring Peyton and Eli Manning premiering this fall, only on DIRECTV. For more information about the show, visit http://www.footballcops.com

As soon as Peyton Manning retires from the NFL, he’ll be set for life racking in that Hollywood money as a full time comedy actor. This “The Darkside” trailer aired last night during The 2010 ESPN ESPY Awards. For the slow folks out there, it’s a parody of The Blindside – you know that movie with Sandra Bullock.

The New Orleans Saints Win Super Bowl XLIV

Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints for winning their first ever Super Bowl in what was also their first ever appearance. Behind an MVP performance from Drew Brees (32/39, 288 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT), some gutsy play calls from coach Sean Payton, and the biggest interception of Tracy Porter’s career, the Saints were able to hold off Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts with a 31-17 victory. The fact that Mardi Gras starts next week and the Saints just won the Super Bowl, I don’t think New Orleans is going to stop partying anytime soon but if anyone deserves to celebrate – it definitely should be the city and people of New Orleans.

Any Peyton Manning off the field acting appearances are definitely appreciated as he always does a good job with his stale humor. I’m not really sure of the KG spotting though, kind of weird.
