Nike Football does it AGAIN! Oregon will be playing Wisconsin in some sick new Nike Pro Combat uniforms for this year’s BCS Rose Bowl Game. The new uniform provides enhanced thermoregulation and more durability with the inclusion of Nike Chain Maille Mesh – a lightweight ultra-breathable material – used in both the jersey and pant. Check out more pictures after the jump and read more about Nike Football and Oregon’s relationship here.

Nike Re-Signs Michael Vick To An Endorsement Deal

Darren Rovell broke the news that Nike has officially re-signed Philadelphia Eagle Quarterback Michael Vick to an endorsement deal. The Swoosh dropped Vick after the whole dog / jail incident but is now the first ever company to resign an athlete after they’ve been dropped in the past. Vick has had a remarkable comeback so I’m excited to see what the designers come up with for Vick to rock this season (if there is one).

What’s being Superfly? United States and English Premier League club Fulham soccer player Clint Dempsey says “It’s about going out and playing your own game.” Be true to yourself. Texas hip hop folks will recognize that song as Trae The Truth’s Texas from his 48 Hours mixtape.

After Nike’s great ad leading up to the BCS National Championship Game, they salute Oregon’s loss with another great ad reading – Everyone Loses Games. Few Change Them. Nike’s creative teams are always top notch. Where do I sign up?! Sorry for the tiny picture, it was the only one I could find.

Nike’s creative and marketing teams never disappoint. Check out this new ad that they placed in this morning’s newspapers in Arizona and Oregon touting the speed of the Duck’s offense. Those jerseys are fire too! It’s gotta be awesome as an UO athlete to have one of your school’s alumni also be the founder of Nike…

Even though we’re in the middle of the World Cup frenzy, I’m sure Nash will have some surprises in store for the fans. At least three NBA ballers are already confirmed to play – Brandon Jennings (Milwaukee Bucks), Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs), and Jared Dudley (Phoenix Suns). I’m sure other players will be rolling through too since the NBA Draft is this Thursday. I’ll definitely be rolling through to take in the action so say what up if you see me. It’s going down at Nike Football x Sara D Roosevelt Park on Houston Street (in between Chrystie and Stanton street).
NBA stars. Soccer’s best. An urban field. A sweet 8-a-side game of futbol in the middle of a city benefiting children’s programs on three continents.

With international rosters that have included Steve Nash, Thierry Henry, Claudio Reyna, Tony Parker, Adrian Mutu, Grant Hill, Ivan Cordoba, Baron Davis, Javier Zanetti, Ryan Babel, Salomon Kalou, Simone Sandri, Martin Nash, Mathieu Flamini, Edgar Davids and Chris Bosh the Showdowns are events not to be missed!
