The world’s most winning-est MLB franchise gets a custom special edition pair of Nike Trainer 1.3 Max. The colorway goes with the New York Yankee’s classic navy blue, grey and white while the soles even include an engraving of each of their World Series Championship years. I’m not a Yankees fan but this pair is kinda tough.  Hit the jump for more photos.

No real highlights, just a cool video of a homerun going into the pool, a man diving in to catch the ball, and then everyone saving his beer. For you die hard baseball fans, the New York Yankees’ Robinson Cano edged out the Boston Red Sox’s Adrian Gonzalez for the Home Run Derby win last night. Before the game, Kate Upton, Erin Andrews, and other celebrities participated in a Celebrity All-Star Softball Game.  Hit the jump to see some photos of Kate Upton going through the bases.

Derek Jeter Hits 3,000 x Fan Chooses Memorabilia Over Millions

July 10, 2011 by

On the day Derek Jeter needed two more hits to reach the historical 3,000, the New York Yankees Captain went 5/5 including a HR for his 3,000th career hit. Yesterday was the day DJ2 became DJ28 as he’s only the 28th player to ever accomplish 3,000 hits in a career. Immediately after the ball was hit, Jordan Brand dropped the above promo video online for viral purposes.

The dude who caught the home run ball, Christian Lopez, pulled of the dumbest act ever. The Yankees pulled him into a private room and asked him what he wanted. He could have sold the ball back for millions or even auctioned the ball off but he simply just gave it back to the team, asking for nothing in return. To reward him for his idiotic kind gesture, the organization gave him a few autographed baseballs, bats, Derek Jeter jerseys, Champions Suite Seat Tickets for the rest of the season and playoffs, and he got to meet Jeter, Jay-Z, and Reggie Jackson.

When it comes to the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, it’s nothing but a hated rivalry between the teams and their biggest fans John Krasinski and Alec Baldwin. When baseball isn’t the focus between the two actors, it’s nothing but love. Watch as Krasinski and Baldwin talk about how these New Era’s Rivalry commercials came about and some stories about their favorite baseball teams.

Alec Baldwin Punches John Krasinski In The Latest New Era Commercial

Alec Baldwin sprints all the way from New York City to Boston to run up to John Krasinski’s apartment to sock him in the face in the latest New Era commercial. His commitment level to the New York Yankees is just that high. I’m sure this is how other Yankees fans are feeling this weekend after the Red Sox are about to bring out the broom and complete the sweep tonight.

Red Sox vs Yankees: New Era – The Trash Talking Begins (Commercial)

April 8, 2011 by

I’m not big on baseball but I gotta rep my childhood days of running around Brookline, MA and falling asleep at (unappreciated sport, at the time) Boston Red Sox games. It would real sick to see the Red Sox turn their young 0-6 season around this weekend with a sweep over the Evil Empire.  And, yes I’ll proudly rock my Boston hat in these streets of my now hometown New York City.

All baseball talk aside, this is a pretty cool commercial made by New Era.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a New Era commercial but this one’s pretty good. Watch as Alec Baldwin (the die-hard Yankees fan) and John Krasinski (the die-hard Red Sox fan) go at it over the phone.

Not particularly happy that baseball has started because that just means the downfall of SportsCenter begins now. And although I’m not a Yankees fan at all (I grew up in Brookline, MA), it was cool to see CC Sabathia rocked some fire Jordans to the court pitching mound for some MLB Opening Day action against the Detroit Pistons.  Jordan Brand posted that picture above earlier in the day and after the jump you can see Sabathia rocking the Concord Cleats in action.
