What If You Kept Your Baby Teeth Until The Age of 18 or 20?

Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace still leaving people speechless at age 32…
“I’m just — I’m most happy that Jesus Christ did not let me lose my teeth when I was 20 years old. ‘Cause I was wondering, like, what if you kept your baby teeth until the age of 18 or 20 and then you lose ‘em? That would look pretty bad. So I just think he’s really brilliant, that you lose your teeth when you’re a baby rather than losing them when you’re like 30 or 20. That has nothing to do with your question, but that was definitely on my mind.”

Kobe Bryant Is Not Happy About Losing Lamar Odom
We all know that Kobe and Carmelo are tight both on and off the court, but him and Lamar are even tighter. Kobe isn’t known for expressing his feelings unless it’s about losing a game, but when it comes to losing your best friend, one of your leaders and your best bench player for nearly a decade, it’s hard not to express those feelings. For those who don’t already know, the Los Angeles Lakers decided to dump their Sixth Man of the Year in Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks for nothing (and by nothing I mean a measly $8.9 million trade exemption). Absolutely nothing. And when Kobe’s unhappy, he doesn’t hesitate.
“I don’t like it,” Bryant told ESPN reporters. “To be honest with you, I don’t like it.”
“You’re talking about the Sixth Man of the Year last year,” Bryant said. “He played lights out. I don’t understand the criticism of reality shows and this, that and the other. I don’t get it. I don’t understand that. He had his best season last season, clearly wasn’t a distraction and he played his ass off. I don’t get where that comes from.”
Kobe’s right, how could you trade someone who meant so much to the team for absolutely nothing. Not just to any team, but to a team who beat you in the playoffs last year on the way to an NBA championship. Not only that, but they also just gave Dallas the best forward trio in the league with Lamar, Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion, and the more reporters asked Kobe about the situation, he came back with “Now I’m getting pissed off.”
With Lamar gone, it now opens up room to get Dwight Howard, but there’s no way that the Magic deal him without getting another one of the Lakers big men in return: either Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum (probably Bynum since they’re losing a center). As of right now, the Lakers didn’t get better, they got worse. The Knicks amped up, Boston’s stacking up, hell, even the Pacers are becoming a threat. So where do the Lakers go from here? Well, as of right now, your only choice is Dwight Howard. With letting go of Lamar Odom, the team deserves that much. Kobe deserves that much. The fans deserve that much.
Boston Celtics Close To Adding David West
The Boston Celtics are out here making moves! It all started with constant trade rumors floating around that Boston was working on a trade with New Orleans to bring in Chris Paul for the year — although they had hopes of him signing a long-term deal — which, eventually fell apart after the Lakers hopped aboard with the Houston Rockets to bring Cp3 to L.A., while the Rockets received Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom went to New Orleans (lucky break for Bean-Town if you ask me).
On Friday, Boston worked a deal with the Orlando Magic that would send PF/C Glen “Big Baby” David down south in exchange for Brandon Bass (not sure exactly what either team gets out of this because one is better defender while the other is a better scorer), but I must admit that Davis’ skills depleted after he was given more minutes and Bass is more athletic and little bit tougher in the paint. There were also reports of the Celtics being extremely close to signing All-Star forward David West, which would ultimately land him a 3-year deal worth around $29 million — another undisclosed player — and would send Jermaine O’Neal to the Hornets. With the recent re-signing of Jeff Green (1-year deal), Boston looks to be right up there in competition with the Knicks and Heat (Chicago hasn’t made any kind of moves for another SG).
They now have a bunch of young scorers coming off the bench at nearly every position (fellow Purdue teammates JaJuan Johnson and E’Twaun Moore now have big opportunities to earned playing time in a shortened season), but the really need to address the situation at center. A longer off season will certainly help keeps the Celtics older players fresh, especially since they have one of the hardest road schedules in the league, and I’m sure Rondo is going to play lights out after the rumors have diminished and he’s finally gotten over the Kendrick Perkins trade.
Chris Paul Requests A Trade To The Knicks
Well, as of right now, the “Rondo for Chris Paul” trade has been squashed by Boston’s own Danny Ainge. So what’s next for Paul you ask? According to Yahoo! Sports beat writer Adrian Wojnarowski, Paul’s agent spoke with team officials in New Orleans stating that CP3 wants to join forces with Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire in the Big Apple.
From Yahoo! –
Chris Paul’s agent informed New Orleans officials on Wednesday that his client will not sign a contract extension and wants to be traded to the New York Knicks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
For now, it remains a rumor. The NBA hasn’t lifted lockout restrictions yet which means Hornets GM Dell Demps can’t have a meeting with Paul just yet to discuss his future with the team and what exactly he wants from the organization to stay. The thing is though, do the Knicks really want to make this trade for a 27-year-old Chris Paul with a bad knee and somewhat injury-prone? No way am I saying that Paul isn’t still a good player because that’s nonsense, but the Knicks really do have to look at the long run here: if they make a trade, they won’t be able to make another move for at least four years.
What they really need is someone like Raymond Felton — who played their before and did quite well — who is a tough guard that can get inside the paint and has a nice outside shot. They could also use a banging big man (someone like Marc Gasol from Memphis) and some more shooters like Nick Young or Jason Richardson. That’s the problem with the league right now; ever since Miami created their “Super Team,” teams are trying to up their arsenal just to keep up with those guys but don’t realize how they could hurt their teams in the long run. I’m sure Paul has reached out to Dwight Howard, who’s name is also on the trading blocks, to somehow team-up with one another (Lakers?).
Once Dec. 9 hits, expect things to shakeup dramatically.
Alaskan Pipeline: Glen Rice Had A One-Night Stand With Sarah Palin
I’ve heard some crazies stories throughout my twenty-two years on earth, but this, this just takes the cake. For those who don’t know, Glen Rice is a former NBA player who retired with the Los Angeles Clippers back in 2004. He won an NBA title at the start of the decade with the Lakers and remains the all-time leading scorer for the Hornets with 23.5 points per game. As far as the lady in the very revealing pink top, well, that’s the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. Early Wednesday morning, the National Enquirer (one of those hard to believe fluff tabloids) dropped one of the biggest stories of the year on not only the basketball world but the entire U.S. According to the tabloid, both Rice and Palin reportedly had a one-night love fest during their early years in Alaska:
Sarah hooked up with the NBA great, then a 6-foot-8 junior at the University of Michigan when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987, the book says. At the time, Sarah, just out of college, was working as a sports reporter for the Anchorage TV station KTUU.
A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.”
Whether this is true or not, for some reason I found it not out of the world to believe. Crazier things have happened but the magazine also reports that Palin was involved with her husband at that time and Glen didn’t deny it. Just look at that picture above, you can’t tell me you wouldn’t try to get with that if you had the opportunity. Rice was a stud basketball player during his college career at Michigan and was a three-time NBA All-Star. I know tabloids like these are hard to believe but they didn’t lie about Tiger Woods getting knocked out by his ex-wife for sneaking out of the house to get a piece of ass.
Folks, the Enquirer just dropped a bombshell on us and I suggest you take it and run.
Who Wins 1 on 1? Kevin Hart vs Shannon Brown

Based off of this clip alone, Kevin Hart got the best of Shannon Brown. How? Kevin Hart hit a 3 in the beginning to put him up 3 (we can only assume that the score was tied when the video start). A little later, Brown got serious and bullied Hart through the paint for an easy dunk. Dunks are only worth 2 points. 3 > 2. Game time, comedian Kevin Hart with the W.
Jason Terry Kills The Lakers With 32 But Needs To Be Paused

Jason Terry had his best playoff shooting performance EVER yesterday as he killed the Los Angeles Lakers for 32 points including 9-10 shooting from downtown. While being interviewed at halftime by ESPN’s Heather Cox (pause), Terry gave one very pause worthy response:
All series long, we’ve been able to penetrate their bigs, get deep, suck the D in, and then we got spot up shooters. We got 3 of the most prolific 3 point shooters in the history of the game out there.”
Penetrate? Deep? D? C’mon Jason Terry! That’s too easy. Ms. Cox should of pulled a Gus Johnson on Spike Lee on you or at least notified the Pause Police. In all seriousness though – the Dallas Mavericks sweeping Kobe and the Lakers?!?! Who would have predicted that a couple of months ago?!
Kobe Bryant Dunked Like He Was Still 18 Years Old Last Night

After watching Kobe’s two vintage dunks last night I thought he was still wearing #8 and was still rocking his afro from 1996. He crowned Emeka Okafor who’s been regarded as one of the league’s better blockers and then got around Trevor Ariza for the fancy dunk at the rim. I don’t think that ankle injury is going to be that big of an issue for Mr. Bryant…

He’s got mad love in China and Asia and now he just starred in his first commercial with Turkish Airlins. He inked up a 2 year contract with the airlines company so expect more commercials like this in the near future.
The Official 2011 NBA Playoffs Schedule

40 games in 40 nights! Let’s get it! It’s NBA Playoffs time – 2011 version. This photo was surfacing around the office inbox’s and I actually thought it was funny even as a Celtics fan myself. What’s even funnier though is that these Knicks’ fans think they can actually hang with the Celtics. New York doesn’t play a lick of defense so it’ll be an easy series in 5 games, maybe 6 if we’re playing sloppy.
Derrick Rose and the Bulls will breeze through the Pacers, same with the Heat and the 76ers. The Magic will see some resistance from the Hawks but they’ll be okay too. After that though, there’s no calling it. All four teams are talented and I haven’t been this excited to see how everything plays out. There’s no clear cut front runner and every team could make a run to the championship.
On the west side (*throws up Avon Barksdale W*), I’m kinda shocked that the Nuggets have managed to do so well with out Melo and Billups and even with so many injuries in the beginning of the year. To come out of the west though I’m going to roll with young Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to take their games to another level. Playoffs START NOW!
