Jordan Brand – Quai 54 Pack (Air Jordan V x Jordan Team ISO)

It feels like 2011 is the year of the Jordan V’s. The Wolf Grey drop was huge, the USA red / white / blues are super clean, and these Quai 54 are dope as well. For those who don’t know, Quai 54 is a famous Paris streetball tournament that Jordan Brand sponsors that is played every summer.  Both these special colorway 5′s and Team ISO were dropped only in Europe House of Hoops over the weekend so for now, us Americans can only look unless you decide to hit eBay.  Hit the jump for more photos.

Chicks & Kicks: Playboy Playmates & Air Jordans

In the latest edition of Chicks & Kicks, we get Playboy Playmate Francesca Frigo recreating the classic Spike Lee and Michael Jordan “Mars Blackmon” commercial for Air Jordan. Playboy will actually be releasing their top 23 J’s of all time on May 31st which will feature plenty of other playmates. That should make for a good photo shoot!

Tinker Hatfield Does Not #FuckWithLeBronSneakers

Those who follow sneakers (specifically Nikes and Jordans) should know the name Tinker Hatfield. For those who don’t, his legendary resume includes designing the Air Jordan III through Air Jordan XV, the twentieth anniversary Air Jordan XX, the final numbered Air Jordan, the XXIII, the 2010 (XXV), and other athletic sneakers including the world’s first “cross training” shoes, the Nike Air Trainer and is currently oversees Nike’s “Innovation Kitchen” department. He recently got recorded at a Q&A session in Miami expressing his feelings on why he doesn’t like to work with LeBron James in designing the Nike Air Max LeBron series sneakers.  The main reason – LeBron’s entourage that includes “too many people, too many ideas, too many opinions”. On the contrary, he LOVES working with Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony in creating ideas for designing their signature sneakers as they come in with only 1 other business partner and get straight to business. It sounds like LeBron is getting more hated by more and more people every. single. day.

Jordan Fly Wade Unveiled

Finally, Dwyane Wade gets his first signature shoe as a part of the Jordan Brand family. Four different colorways as of now, the new D. Wade logo on the tongue, and they are also the lightest Jordan’s ever made. The Jordan “Fly Wade’s” are set to drop May 5, 2011 for $140. Michael Jordan Does Not Want UNC Players Wearing Kobe’s Kicks

I saw this talked about online a few days ago but couldn’t find a good video of it.  Well, here it is.  Watch as some UNC players see The G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan and ask for some pairs of the Air Jordan XI – Cool Grey’s.  The legend jokingly tells the youngsters that they can have ANYTHING in the Jordan Brand vaults as long as they don’t wear the Nike Zoom Kobe VI’s and make it to the Final Four.
