Unless you come from a bad area and practically spent your younger years on the streets, most can’t relate to the kind of life that rapper Jeezy has lived. Easily in my Top 5 artists of all-time, Jeezy spits the whole truth, nothing but the truth so help him God. TM103: Hustlerz Ambition, the documentary, chronicles the life and times of Jeezy’s life. Narrated by Academy Award nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson, Jeezy gives his fans an inside look to a day in his life.

TSA Agent Leaves Freddie Gibbs A Note In His Suitcase

Where I’m from, we grew up bumpin’ Freddy Gibbs through high school just to get through the day. He was literally a hop, skip and a jump away from us. Ever since teaming up with Jeezy on his CTE label, Freddie’s killed it. Just this past Wednesday, Gibbs tweeted a photo of what a TSA Agent left in his suitcase at the airport after they found marijuana stashed in a pair of socks .. Hilarious!

Jeezy Speaks On Thug Motivation 101 First Leaking & TM103 Leaking Early

When I told y’all Jeezy — and a few others — is a real rapper, I mean that what he says, he does or mean (ever see the video of him walking down South Beach showing his glock encase any of Rick Ross’ homies tries to run up on him?). Jeezy used to ride with guys like Big Meech (Wikipedia if you’re unfamiliar) and was also featured on Gangland;  a TV series on Spike that talks about different gangs throughout the states. During his latest interview with Vibe Magazine, Jizzle speaks on how he almost shot and killed a studio intern for being the one that leaked his first studio album (TM101) 6 days early:

“Yeah it was a big deal but I tell anybody when you put your life on the line and you work hard and you do your research, and do your work and you put an album together that’s something special to you, and when somebody does that it feels like you’ve been robbed,” says Jeezy while recalling the leak of TM101.

“And I, for one, ain’t the type to get robbed. I don’t play that shit, you know, I take that very seriously and I seen people get killed for less,” he adds.

Talk about lucking out .. Don’t forget about when he sent on of his goons after Gucci Mane, which resulted in Gucci getting the drop on him and the police later finding a 27-year-old Henry Lee Clark III dead. Now, more than six years since the original leaked; Jeezy, again (just not as violent), gave his take on his final installment of Thug Motivation being leaked:

“It’s just a crazy time in music because I remember when there was a time when we couldn’t wait just to go in the store and buy [an album] so I don’t understand, what’s the rush?,” Jeezy tells VIBE. “I mean you can’t rush greatness if something comes out and somebody puts hard work into it and you’re a fan of it you should want to purchase it and support him. It’s not about the money to me, it’s about the act you know — pulling up to the mall, getting out your car and actually going to buy something that you dig, that you feel is worth it.”

I personally enjoyed TM103 but I thought it would have been a lot harder than what it showed. It didn’t really go out with a big enough “bang” so-to-speak. I’ve been an avid listener of Jeezy’s for a longtime now and although I did cheat and download the leaked tape, I’m still going to hit up Best Buy on the 20th.

Music Video: Jeezy – Nothin’

This definitely isn’t one of the best videos I’ve seen from Jeezy but, it’s still something I can vibe too. His third – and final – installment of the Thug Motivation albums, TM 103, doesn’t hit stores until December 20, but the entire deluxe edition album leaked early Wednesday afternoon. I won’t lie; I couldn’t wait ’til Tuesday, and after I listened to it about three or so times, I’ll admit that I’m a little disappointed.

We already know this will be on Trouble Man, which is dropping soon. Tip and the Billionaire Boy killed this track, along with the video. Via his Twitter account, T.I. announced that he’s dropping a mixtape on New Years too (Ironically enough, the tape will be called F–k The City Up). That’s something to drink to, ain’t it? Oh yeah, Jeezy we see ya.

Jeezy Performs On David Letterman

I don’t care what anyone says, this year feels different for Jeezy. This feels like his rookie year, almost, but harder. He’s always been one of my favorite rappers because he spits catchy rhymes and the music just hits you. Hope y’all are as ecstatic about TM103 dropping as much as I am. Check out his performance from last night on David Letterman.

Jay Bilas Reveals How He Became A Fan Of Jeezy’s Music

“Expect the unexpected” is one of my favorite quotes ever (shouts to Oscar Wilde), and that line goes perfectly with ESPN College GameDay analyst Jay Bilas (former Duke guard) and his love for rapper Jeezy’s music. First he took it to Twiiter: [sample: I'm goin' to Decatur where it's greater, see if I can stack me up some paper.], then he took it to a whole new level when he decided to quote a line from the track “Bottom of the Map” on national television during the Missouri-Villanova game. Like everything else in this world, something had to originate from something else and XXL Magazine found it:

XXL: Earlier this year, you surprised everyone when you went on a Twitter spree quoting Young Jeezy lyrics, what’s the story behind that?

Jay Bilas: This all kind of started when we were doing College GameDay earlier this year. We were at Michigan State and we had taken to doing player interviews the day of the game and we had Draymond Green on the floor with us. And I think it was Reece Davis who asked when you have your headphones on pre-game what are you listening to? He said, I listen to Jeezy. So, Hurbert Davis and I started joking. Hurbert asked if it was on my iPod and I said, Damn straight, it’s the first thing. I knew who Jeezy was but I wasn’t an avid listener. But I started listening and I liked it. I ended up getting a question on Twitter and someone asked me about my favorite rappers and I said Sugarhill Gang and Young Jeezy. I started listening to Sugarhill Gang when I was in high school. Then and now I knew all the words. It was a serious answer. And then someone said no way does Bilas know Young Jeezy. And I started quoting Thug Motivation [101] and it’s been fun. I enjoy the back and forth. It’s been neat banter on Twitter.

There you have it; thanks to Rece Davis, started this whole thing. He asked the question, Bilas gave the answer. I’m sure fans — along with myself — are looking forward to the next “Jeezy-bomb” Bilas drops on us. Who said only white boys attended Duke?
