Google has just released their newest iOS and Android app called Google Currents. From the looks of it, it sounds like a hybrid of an RSS Reader and a Magazine App. It seems the best part about the app is that you’ll be able to access content even offline as they’re stored and synced instantly.

I still don’t get what Google+ does better than Facebook and I don’t think anyone really does. In a well done parody done by iwearyourshirt, the crew spoofs The Social Network and gives it a Google+ spin.  Great job guys!

Introducing: Google Offers

Watch out Groupon, Living Social, and every other deal website out there – Google is coming for that check! Yes, even Facebook Deals needs to watch their back. The business model is simple and very competitive and with all of Google’s resources, I think they could come out as the leader of the pack in this industry when it’s all said and done.  Currently they’re only offering deals in Portland, New York City, Oakland, and San Francisco, but I’m sure every major city will be added on shortly. Sign up for their deals at google.com/offers.

Google Goes Social With Google+ Project

Google vs. Apple vs. Facebook = the competition to takeover the internet world. I think if you control the internet, you can eventually control the world. Twitter’s cool and all (follow us!) but they’re not in this conversation yet. I don’t really see this Google+ project blowing up like they would like it to but I’m sure it’ll develop a decent following. It’ll include different features called Circles (creating connections), Stream (a focalized area for new updates, much like the various feed styles seen across Facebook and Twitter), Hangouts (the ability to amass up to 10 friends in a group video chat session and engage in web activities) and Sparks (content sharing).

Google continues to reinvent the game they created (internet search) with their newest feature – Voice Search. Currently this is only compatible on the Google Chrome browser version 11 that’s installed on a computer with a built-in or attached mic.  I have yet to try this out but I doubt I ever will.  I type faster than I can talk and I’m not THAT lazy, yet…
