Jay-Z got a nice “little” paycheck to perform in Las Vegas on New Years Eve and brought out friends Beyonce, Kanye West, and Chris Martin to join in on the fun.  Up top, the married couple perform Forever Young together while after the jump Yeezy and Martin perform Homecoming for the first time together.  Also after the jump, check out an intoxicated Kanye mention that Watch The Throne is coming in a week while at the official club after party.

Mick Boogie x Jay-Z x Coldplay – Viva La Hova (Remastered)

Terry Urban and Mick Boogie re-release their popular Viva La Hova mashup of Jay-Z and Chris Martin / Coldplay.  This version is remastered and also includes two new bonus songs that weren’t included on the original release.  Download link and what they recently had to say about the project is below and the official tracklist is after the jump:

As the weather gets colder and summertime fades away, it seemed like a perfect time to re-release a project that can only be described as ambient cold weather music. “Terry and I were planning on re-releasing it in December anyways, just because everywhere we go, people ask us about it,” said Mick Boogie. “After Jay-Z and Coldplay announced their big New Years Eve plans, including performing together integrating their songs… and about a million people emailed us… we decided to just drop the re-release now. Why wait?”

Featuring two new bonus songs not contained on the original Viva La Hova release, this project also finds the original mixes re-mastered, non-sequenced, and without the signature “dj drops” over the songs. “Everyone always told us they treated this project as an album, and not a mixtape,” said Terry Urban. “This being the playlist generation, we wanted to offer the songs in an album, non-mixed format so people can use the songs however they see fit.”

Jay-Z x Eminem x New Yankee Stadium (Night 1) Recap Pt. 2

The show was so crazy that I still have some more notes I need to let off.  When Hov started the show with his Dynasty Intro and then Run This Town to bring Yeezy out, that’s how I knew that they weren’t messing around and were planning on making the night an epic night.  My highlight of the night definitely was the clip above of Kanye performing although it’s missing a good few minutes before and about 10 minutes after of him doing his own mini-set.  Other hightlights included Jay and Drake performing Light Up for the first time ever; Beyonce looking absolutely stunning and killing the hook for Young Forever; Chris Martin rocking the crowd to Viva La Vida; and of course Em and Jay doing a rare performance of Renegades.

From the sounds of Twitter, it looks like the second show had the same line up and guest surprises so shouts to Jay, Em, and everyone involved in the show for giving the paying customers an amazing show on both nights.  After the jump, check out some of the exclusive pictures that the.LIFEFiles posted from the first night’s show that I posted over here.

There’s so many words that I can use to describe last night’s Jay-Z and Eminem show…Here are a few: CLASSIC, EPIC, AMAZING, HISTORY, and the list can go on.  It was my first time seeing Eminem live and he brought it 110% and even paid homage to being able to have the chance to not only perform with Jay-Z in New Yankee Stadium but to perform in the Bronx, the birthplace of hip hop.  Jay-Z, as expected, shut the city down and put on a set that went for over 2 hours which is absolutely unheard of!  If you’re wondering if they performed your favorite Em or Jay song, then they probably did and you can actually check their set list out below.  Surprise guests included (J. Cole and B.o.B opened) D12, 50 Cent, G-Unit, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Swizz Beatz, Memphis Bleek, Drake, Chris Martin, and Beyonce.  After the jump, check out a picture my boy Medina took of King James as he happened to walk by our on the field seats (yes we know it came out blurry as shit haha).
