Lil Wayne – Tha Carter IV (Official Tracklist)

Rappers are competitors and that’s why it’s to no surprise that Lil Wayne is trying to steal some of the Jay-Z x Kanye West x Watch The Throne buzz by dropping his official tracklist to Tha Carter IV. Check it out. It has some interesting features including the obvious Drake, T-Pain, Cory Gunz, Rick Ross and then Tech N9ne, Jadakiss, Nas, Shyne and Busta Rhymes. Dope rappers need hot beats. I wonder who’s on the production boards…

DJ Khaled – We The Best Forever (Tracklist)

Pretty much every rapper not named Jay-Z, Kanye West, Tupac, or Biggie has a verse on DJ Khaled’s new album. Usually these rap posse cuts sound forced and out of place but DJ Khaled usually does do a good job of putting them together. I guess he does have one decent skill besides being annoying. Check out the tracklist for We The Best Forever coming out on July 19th.

Throwback Saturday: Leaders of the New School – Case of the P.T.A

With schools across the country out (except for you slackers who have to go to summer school) and the official start of summer this past week, what better throwback to post than the Leaders of the New School hit Case of the P.T.A. This song was released back in 1991 while Busta was sill apart of the group. This was their most successful mainstream hit but, unfortunately, once Busta left the group they were unable to build off this tracks success. Many people contribute the groups split-up to an infamous Yo! MTV Raps interview where group member Charlie Brown became upset over Busta’s show stealing and became quite vocal about it while being filmed. Busta was just at the beginning of his successful (and still current) career, while Charlie Brown, Dinco D, and Milo gained very little individual success.

Videos of Rick Ross & Maybach Music’s New York City Show

The Scheme Team was in attendance and we came to the conclusion that it was a good show but it had room for improvement. Regardless though, Rick Ross ran through all of his new Teflon Don and Ashes To Ashes hits with some older cuts in between to rock the crowd for a good hour or so. He also brought out his new Maybach Music Group artists in Wale and Meek Mill as well as surprise guests Busta Rhymes, John Legend, and Akon. Pusha T opened and from what I hear (we got in late) he put on a great performance as well. Hit the jump for another video.

This week’s Throwback Saturday is the first Rick Ross song that started it all (way) back in 2006. Shouts to Rozay, Wale, John Legend, Meek Mill, Akon, and BUSTA RHYMES for killing the Best Buy New York City show last night that I got to watch.
