Music Video: Big Boss E Feat. Slim Thug & Bun B – Been Bout That Bread

This was one of the hardest tracks of the year, not to mention it features the legendary Bun B — R.I.P. Pimp C — and Slim Thug might not be the best rapper out there but it’s just something about his flows and always having the right beat that keeps him stacked pretty heavily on my iPod. Peep this dope video from the duo Michael Artis and Big Boss E. H-Town, what’s good?
Video: Masspike Miles Feat. Bun B – “Devoted”

For those who don’t know about Masspike Miles, consider him Maybach Music Group’s version of Drake. He’s their vocalist, he brings somewhat of the same things that Drake does for Young Money (just not the same flow). The Boston singer, who now works for Rick Ross, has been pumping out quite a few mixtapes in the last few months in hopes of becoming well known. On this track “Devoted” he throws on one of my favorite artists of all-time, and one of the best that ever did it, Bun B. You can pretty much tell what the songs meaning is just by the title, but they definitely keep it trill with this one.

Big K.R.I.T., point blank, is a dope ass rapper! If you haven’t gotten up on K.R.I.T. Wuz Here or Return Of 4Eva yet – you’re missing out. He’s from the South but he can sound like he’s from New York if need be. But obviously he’s got that southern flair too him as well so his versatility really shines in his projects. Here’s his newest one which kind of unsuspectingly dropped today. New music is better than no music though. And it’s a free mixtape hosted by Live Mixtapes plus has features from Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Dom Kennedy, Bun B and more. Download and tracklist is below:

Throwback Saturday: Young Jeezy Ft. R Kelly, Jadakiss & Bun B – Go Getta (Remix)

Even though Young Jeezy’s Go Getta is not a throwback (it was released in 2007), I picked it since the remix has throwback artists but the main reason, it is Derek Jeter’s entrance music for when he comes to the plate. If you haven’t heard, Jeter got his 3,000 hit today against David Price of the Tampa Bay Rays. Growing up as a Yankee fan, Jeter is by far my favorite player and he definitely is a Go Getta. Playing during the “Steriod Era” Jeter is one the few players who you can say without a doubt did everything naturally and is the definition of a hard worker. Congrats to Derek Jeter aka El Capitán!
