This doesn’t exactly go down in New York City’s Chinatown neighborhood, but it rhymes, and it’s close enough so why not.  At the Sara D. Roosevelt parks last week, Phoenix Suns’ point guard Steve Nash brought out his celebrity NBA and professional soccer player friends for a friendly 8 on 8 soccer game. The event was free and tons of fans took in the great entertainment for the 2nd year in a row. This year’s participants included the host Nash, Grant Hill, Brandon Jennings, Tony Parker, Patrick Viera, Youri Djorkaeff, Giuseppe Rossi, Claudio Reyna, and others.

No one could tip the man dressed as a cow at the grand opening of the Kansas City Livestrong Stadium. Watch as he runs freely on the brand new field and even gets himself a goal!

Check out what Nike has done this season for Manchester United. As one of the most historic club teams in the world, Nike laced them up with a new home kit uniform that’s inspired by the traditional red, white, and black club colors infused with a distinctive pattern iconic in club history.

That sucks! Watch as a Real Madrid soccer player drops the King’s Trophy in front of the team bus and then the team bus proceeds to run it over.  The 33 pound trophy was smashed into more than 10 pieces. At least it was the star player, Sergio Ramos, that dropped the trophy otherwise someone would be getting cut.

Lesson learned? Drink Pepsi on the beach in cargo shorts and you too can kick 3 soccer balls into random trash cans on a beach like David Beckham. Real or fake? I’m going with FAKE.

LeBron James wants to be a billionaire.  Deep down inside, he might even want to achieve that financial goal more than he wants to win a NBA Championship ring.  Who knows? What we do know though is that he has just teamed up with John Henry and Tom Werner of Fenway Sports Group (owners of the Boston Redsox, NESN, etc.) to be a minority stake owner of the Liverpool Football Club of the English Premier League.  Soccer is slowly but surely becoming more and more popular in the United States while King James is slowly but surely expanding his global marketing reach one win endeavor at a time.
