Check this girl Oh Blimey out! She’s from the Bay Area and has some serious talent! She can rap bars for days, will hold her own in a battle, she can sing, AND most importantly she can actually make good songs. She’s childhood friends with my girlfriend so I recently got the chance to hit up the latest Grind Time Now (East Coast Division) battle event with her, my girl, and friends. As a little side project, I produced the following video documenting her getting in the zone for her first big battle…
On Saturday March 26th, San Francisco bred artist Oh Blimey flew into New York City to take on her first official Grind Time Now battle event. At March Madness 2: The Most Hated, Oh Blimey went 3 rounds head to head with New Jersey’s CoCo McPuffington in front of a sold out and very rowdy and ruckus Brooklyn, New York crowd. Watch Oh Blimey get ready for her big day, cypher on the streets of Park Slope, and accept her W. Make sure you check out the whole video of the battle at www.GrindTimeNow.com too!

Jim Jones hit up the new Flight Club NYC with one of Complex Magazine’s editors Joe La Puma. The Capo might have the best / funniest adlibs in the game. And LMAO at him saying he thought the Jeremy Scott’s was Yeezy’s College Dropout Bear and him only wearing those Altitude’s once and then throwing them away.

MTV’s When I Was 17 show does it’s latest feature on Wiz Khalifa, the most popular rapper out. It’s safe to say that right? His new album Rolling Papers is out this Tuesday, March 29th. It leaked online last week and people are saying he sold out and made pop music but to be honest, Wiz has that versatility to make “radio friendly” songs and has even done so on a few tracks in his past mixtapes that everyone loves. He’s also given out TONS of GREAT music for free so no one should really be complaining because Rolling Papers is still a solid offering.
