Consequence Joins In On G.O.O.D. Music Day September 14th

Consequence just Tweeted that he’ll be joining Kanye West, KiD CuDi, and Big Sean as the fourth G.O.O.D. music artist to drop his album on September 14th.  What’s next?  Common and John Legend going to drop that day too?  I’ll believe all of this when I actually see it…

Big Sean’s Finally Famous Album Also Dropping September 14th

It looks like September 14th is officially G.O.O.D. Music day.  For rookie Big Sean he’ll actually be Geting Out Our his Dream with the release of his debut album Finally Famous.  Oh yeah, Kanye’s dropping Good Ass Job and KiD CuDi’s dropping Man on The Moon 2 on the 14th too!

September 14th G.O.O.D Day To Release Music?

So it looks like September 14th G.O.O.D Music will take over the charts. According to a few sources Kanye and Kid Cudi will release both of their albums on the same day. “Good Ass Job,” and “Man On The Moon 2″ will be released on September 14th. My thinking is if this does happen, its more of a business idea then anything. Simply Ye’ will help Cudi sell more records by doing so. Spotted at RR.

Chris Paul Trade Rumors Swirl

Trade rumors begin to swirl surrounding Hornets guard Chris Paul, as the NBA draft weekend approaches. Rumors from teams such as the New Jersey Nets, Memphis Grizzlies, and the New York Knicks,  have shown interest despite New Orleans denying any plans to move the All-Star guard. This can have a huge impact on not only the draft, but the free agency decisions as well.

KiD CuDi Arrested In NYC

Kid Cudi was arrested Friday with charges of felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance. While early reports are still swirling, Sgt. John Butorn of the NYPD has made a positive identification of the Cleveland rapper. The substance  remains unknown although reports say it was confiscated by authorities in a bottle. The arrest comes less then 24 hours when the rapper was to take the stage in Tennessee for the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. It was not immediately clear yet but it is more then likely that Kid Cudi would skip his performance and hopefully resolve all legal issues stemming from this incident. Below is a statement from TMZ about the incident

TMZ has learned Kid Cudi was arrested in NYC today for felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance. Sources say Kid took a 24-year-old woman’s phone and slammed it to smithereens. He also allegedly broke the door of her apartment off its hinges. Cops arrived and found a glass bottle of a controlled substance. (TMZ)

It seems the man who made his name rhyming about hustling and hos in Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects is actually more comfortable around an unlikely new crowd: indie rockers. “I love the energy coming out indie rock right now,” he says, name-checking Grizzly Bear. “It has this rebellion thing that hip-hop is missing now, the thing that made hip-hop hip-hop.”

While Jay is notoriously private about his life with wife Beyoncé, Binelli gets the rapper to let down his guard, and Jay reveals his superstar better half vetoed a piece of artwork he’d bought for their 8,000-square-foot Tribeca penthouse. The black-and-white Laurie Simmons photograph in question depicted “a noirishly lit pistol with a pair of women’s legs emerging from the handle… Beyoncé sent it back and had it replaced with a similar Simmons piece, only depicting a perfume bottle instead of a gun.” Binelli also encourages Jay to open up about his biggest challenges as president of Def Jam (the most frustrating meeting? “Honestly? All of them”) and his one and only experience in therapy, when as Binelli writes, “The psychiatrist gave him tea that made him sleepy and asked him questions like, ‘Who are your best friends?’ ”
