Drake – Take Care (Tracklist x Album Video Trailer)

Is Drake’s Take Care going to steal album of the year? It very well could. He’s keeping minimal features on his sophomore album and only rocking with close friends Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and then he even secured a verse from legend Andre 3000. The CD hits stores November 15th. If he kept Dreams Money Can Buy, Club Paradise, and Free Spirit off of the album because everything in the below final tracklist are better than them? Then he’s going to have one hell of an album. Check out the complete tracklist below.

Kanye West To Release a G.O.O.D. Music Album In Spring 2012

If the G.O.O.D. Music group album is on par as Good Fridays – the album will be at least a 4/5. There’s too much talent and with Yeezy orchestrating, the group can’t mess up. They got Ye, CuDi, Common, Pusha T, Mr. Hudson, Big Sean, John Legend, Mos Def, and Teyana Taylor. They’re like the Dallas Mavericks of this rap shit! One big superstar and a whole lot of above good talent around him!
Wale – Ambition (Tracklist)

Wale’s debut album Attention Deficit was a disappointment in many of his fan’s (and label’s) eyes but it looks like the DMV rapper has turned his careeraround after signing to Maybach Music Group and is looking to have a strong sophomore album release in Ambition. The album hits iTunes pre-order tonight at Midnight and will officially be released on November 1st, 2011. Look out for his new single with Miguel, as well as songs with MMG comrades Rick Ross, Meek Mill, and friends Big Sean, Jeremih, and even once-hated-now-rapper-best-friends-again KiD CuDi.

Video: The Making of J. Cole’s Cole World: The Sideline Story

Cool video put together by Gneiss Pictures of J. Cole working hard in the studio to create the music, as to what we know now as Cole World: The Sideline Story. I think it’s a good idea for ALL artists, new or old, to have at least one camera candidly capturing studio time.
Mac Miller – Blue Slide Park (Album Tracklist) x Smile Back (Video)

November 8th, the other buzzing rapper from Pittsburgh releases his first official album. No Wiz Khalifa feature, or even Chevy Woods and the Taylor Gang, just straight Mac Miller showcasing his talents. Despite the knocks on him, the kid practically has a cult following and sells out every show he books. Not bad for a 19 year old. Check out the tracklist to his album below and then hit the jump to watch the new music video for his next single Smile Back.

Drake Uses The Kiddush Cup & Shabbat Candle On The “Take Care” Album Cover
September 25, 2011 by The Scheme King

With Rosh Hashanah approaching this week, the Jewish side of Drake pulls out the all gold Kiddush Cup and Shabbat Candle (and OVO Owl) for his Take Care album cover. The new CD is releasing on Drizzy’s 25th birthday, October 24th. It’ll release in three versions: Standard Version, Birthday Edition (Deluxe), and Ron C Edition (Chopped & Screwed).
Feels like it’s been so long. Is life moving so fast in this generation that when we desire something it begins to move in slow motion? Are we just used to getting what we want right away? Or do we require one another to feel right about all that is going on around us? Maybe our anticipation is justified by the fact that we genuinely cannot wait to share a moment again? Either way, your life and mine are scheduled to meet on October 24…I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
See you soon.
J. Cole’s Album Leaks Early, Literally

Every album leaks online early (except Watch The Throne) but rarely does the physical album “leak” early too. Watch as a fan hands J. Cole the physical copy of his new CD at a show earlier this week in Arizona. Just fast forward to the 1:16 mark and you’ll see how shocked Cole is as he states he doesn’t even have a copy yet. The story is supposedly a Target in the area got the release date confused and put the album out early but then immediately pulled them back to the stockroom but not before a few customers got to buy them. Do these sales still count for first week sales? Ha!

Even With Kreayshawn Covering Complex, We Can’t Take Her Seriously

Yes Gucci Gucci, was a hot song beat filled with ignorant lyrics and a catchy hook but at the end of the day Kreayshawn is still a gimmick rapper that I would be willing to bet my rent on that she won’t be around in 6-12 months. I haven’t heard one song besides the aforementioned and I haven’t heard one person reference one other song besides the aforementioned. And besides – we can’t take her seriously especially when she’s dropping quotes like this in her new Complex Magazine cover story:
She says she also picked up some less-than-legal side hustles: selling coke and Craigslist pimping. “I quit IKEA and started trapping full-time,” she recalls. “I was driving around in a pink Mustang at two in the morning, no license, with like two 15s in the trunk, serving knots. Then these girls I met, they were on their hustle, too. They brought me this new idea, it was safer than selling drugs. I posted the links for them, took the anonymous pictures, and set up the dates and prices.” According to Kreay, that gig ended when older, more experienced Oakland pimps took over her clientele, so she returned to dealing full-time.
