As Kobe Bryant’s career begins to get older and less appealing to the younger generation, Nike Basketball is turning to Kevin Durant to play second fiddle in their grand marketing schemes behind LeBron James. What better way to reach the youth demographic then by creating a limited edition Nerf colorway to KD’s new Nike Zoom KD IV’s?! Durant rocked these during last week’s Oklahoma City charity basketball game. The package is even awesome as it comes in a custom box complete with a mini-hoop and a Nerf KD35 ball. First, I have to start with Foamposite One > Foamposite Pro. Second, these all white “White Out” Foams are SICK! Legend Penny Hardaway was seen rocking these at the University of Memphis Midnight Madness Dunk Contest last week but we’re hearing that it was a one of one edition. Paul Rosenberg, president of Shady Records, goes through the Brisk Bodega (pop up gallery / event space in New York City) and tells the story of Eminem’s custom exclusive Nikes and Jordans. Once Em began to rise to popularity and Nike saw all the swooshes he rocked, they decided to lace him with plenty of his own. The custom collection includes designs of Air Max 1, Air Max 97, Air Max 360, Air Jordan II, Air Jordan IV, and plenty of others.
