Jim Jones Rejects Plea Deal

Jim Jones, 32, appeared in Manhattan courts today on charges that he beat up Ne-Yo’s manager in a Louis Vuitton store on 5th ave. He was offered 10 days of community service if he pleaded guilty. His lawyer, Scott Leemon, rejected the deal, later calling the charge “nothing more than the attempt of someone else to make good on Mr. Jones’ fame.” Ne-Yo’s manager, Jayvon Smith, has since sued Jones for $7 million.

Jones, whose album just happens to come out today, Pray IV Reign, told fans outside the courthouse that “This is my first event for today.” After his court appearance, Jones had a schedule that included a visit to the Virgin Megastore on Union Square and an appearance on Hot 97 radio.

“I came to court so I don’t get a warrant,” he added.
