Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (TV Trailer)

Back in the DreamCast glory days, I used to own people in Marvel vs. Capcom. Even though I don’t have as much time to play videogames (although I still find time to give people the business in NBA 2K11 at least once a week on Xbox Live), I would love to get nostalgic on my 360 with the new release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The game looks crazy dope and with all the new features it’s been nothing but great reviews. It’s in stores now so I might have to make a GameStop run…
Features:
• Innovative graphics and gameplay bring the Marvel and Capcom Universes to life: Powered by an advanced version of MT Framework, the engine used in Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2, now comes to Marvel vs. Capcom 3, bringing beautiful backgrounds and character animations to the forefront.
• Evolved VS. Fighting System: Wild over-the-top gameplay complete with signature aerial combos, hyper combos and other original systems. The evolved battle system takes the exciting mind-reading game to a whole new level!
• 3-on-3 Tag Team Fighting: Players build their own perfect team and use Assist Attacks and each character’s special moves to create their own unique fighting style.
• Living Comic Book Art Style: See the most adored characters from the Capcom and Marvel universes brought to life in a “moving comic” style, blurring the boundaries between 2D and 3D graphics.

Windows Phone Connects With Xbox Kinect

Check out this technology preview from Microsoft Games Studios showing the connection of Windows Phone 7 and Kinect for XBox 360. Although this looks cool and very impressive, I barely trust my Xbox 360 to not give me the red rings of death every time I load up NBA 2K11 and I NEVER trust this HP I got running Windows at my office so why would I trust using a Windows device as my daily cell phone? The good folks at EA Sports give us their preview of Super Bowl XLV with the Pittsburgh Steelers holding on to a close victory over the Green Bay Packers. The crazy thing is that this video was simulated at the beginning of the season and coincidentally the Packers and Steelers both ended up in the Super Bowl. Also, six out of the last seven Super Bowl champions have correctly been predicted by EA’s Madden simulations.

Remember Duke Nukem 3D way back in the day?!?!?! Well the sequel is finally here and it’s taking on the title Duke Nukem Forever. The sequel will be released on May 3rd for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. With the amount of views this trailer has on YouTube, I’m sure this game is going to be a hit just like it was in the early 90′s.

Introducing: World of Warcraft x Microsoft Kinect

World of Warcraft nerds are about to lose their minds…Let’s just please keep this capability out of the hands of the wrong WoW players aka The Greatest Freakout Ever Brother.
We are developing the Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit (FAAST), which is middleware to facilitate integration of full-body control with games and VR applications. FAAST currently supports the PrimeSensor and the Microsoft Kinect using the OpenNI framework.
In this video, we show how FAAST can be used to control off-the-shelf video games such as World of Warcraft. Since these games would not normally support motion sensing devices, FAAST emulates keyboard input triggered by body posture and specific gestures. These controls can be dynamically configured for different applications and games.
FAAST is free software that uses the OpenNI framework (www.openni.org). We are currently preparing the toolkit for an open-source release. You can download FAAST at: http://people.ict.usc.edu/~suma/faast/
