IGN hooks it up for all you loyal 2K Sports players with the official (Playstation 3) trailer for NBA 2K11.  I know Madden 2011 just dropped but this looks like it could be the BEST BASKETBALL GAME EVER!  I’m nice at 2K10 (hit me up for my Xbox 360 GT if you don’t believe me) so can tell you I’m gonna have 2K11 pre-ordered ASAP.

Street Fighter x Tekken Trailer

Capcom and Namco just premiered this trailer at Comic Con over the weekend of their new collaborative efforts of Street Fighter X Tekken.  Gaming heads and old school arcade players are going to be getting hyped over this.  Hit the jump for some actual game play footage of this new 2010 release.

NBA 2K11 Teaser Trailer Starring Michael Jordan

On October 5th, Michael Jordan returns to the virtual world in NBA 2K11.  This teaser trailer just makes me want a pair of authentic Chicago Bulls’ shorts even more!  I don’t know what’s going to be more abused online in 2K11 – using MJ and his 90′s Bulls or the 2010 Miami All-Stars.

Check out this cool fan made NBA 2K11 trailer starring the new look Miami Heat with their trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.  I’m thinking 2K Sports should give this guy a job!

PlayStation 3 Is Now 3D Compatible

If you have a PlayStation 3 (the photo above is the new white console), are connected online, and a 3D TV – you’re now 3D compatible.  Trust me that having a 3D PlayStation 3 doesn’t really mean much right now BUT once the market is flooded with 3D games and 3D DVD / Blue-ray movie release within the next 12 months – you’ll be one entertained kid sitting on that couch.

Now, in June this year we did the 3D Firmware update. Every PlayStation 3 that’s connected online now has a new version of this Firmware.

At the last count we’ve got 35.8 million PlayStation 3s out there – that means there’s an instant market of around 36 million 3D-ready PlayStation 3 consoles. The upgrade basically makes every PlayStation 3 HDMI 1.4 compatible – that’s the standard that governs 3D displays.

What this means is that there is no setup at all required. If you have a PlayStation 3 and you buy a 3DTV, you simply connect via your HDMI cable and your PlayStation 3 will automatically recognise that you’ve got a 3D display attached.

In September this year, we’re launching another Firmware upgrade – and this one is going to upgrade the PS3 to support Blu-ray movies in 3D. Again, you won’t have to do anything – just connect your PS3. For the film market that’s a very significant event.

Then later in the year – we’re not going to date it yet – the PS3 is going to support 3D photos. Of course the popularity of 3D isn’t just going to come from movies and games. There’s 3D cameras on the market, there’s 3D camcorders coming on the market in the next 12 months as well, and 3D broadcasts.

So you’ll see 3D games in the next 12 months, you’ll see Blu-ray movies in 3D, and as soon as the broadcasts start through our PlayTV services, you’re going to watch 3D content [through that service].

YouTube will be supporting 3D content over the next 12 months as well – and you’ll be able to watch that on the PlayStation 3. And as you start taking 3D pictures of your family or 3D camcorder movies, you can play those back on PS3, too.

It’s a great purchase proposition and future proof.

In a Dime Magazine exclusive – Kevin Durant, Brandon Jennings, and Stephen Curry talk about EA Sports’ newest offering – NBA Elite 2011 (with KD35 on the cover).  It’s cool hearing what these rising NBA stars have to say about the game but I think in 6 month’s they’ll have a 360 controller in hand with this CD popped in the console.

Nike Air Trainer 1.2 – EA Sports x NCAA Football 11

In honor of the release of EA Sports’ NCAA Football 11, Nike has created these limited edition Nike Air Trainer 1.2 for cover boy Tim Tebow.  The colorway can be deemed Denver Broncos’ blue and orange or Florida Gator’s blue and orange so it’s a win-win situation for Tebow.  These will be a limited release so good luck getting yourself a pair unless you have some Tier 1 Nike account hookups.  Hit the jump for more pictures.
