Although K.R.I.T.’s upcoming album – “Live From The Underground” – isn’t due out until June 5, homie decided to show his southern hospitality by allowing all of us fans to live stream the entire album online and give it a listen before it hits stores next week. K.R.I.T. is easily in my Top 5 favorite artists right now and I’ve listened to this album entirely twice this morning and it’s phenomenal (“If I Fall” featuring Melanie Fiona is my personal favorite). From artists like Ludacris, Bun B and Fiona, the tracks are packed full of outstanding beats and truthful lyrics about the things he has gone through in his young career as an underground rapper. You can give the album a listen here.

“The Great Gatsby” takes place during a prosperous time in American History. In 1922, America has fully recovered from theFirst World War, and is enjoying prosperity during the “roaring” 1920s. The economy soared and emotions ran high. Yet, at the same time, Prohibition, the ban on the sale and manufacture of alcohol as mandated by the Eighteenth Amendment, was gaining traction. The ban on alcohol made millionaires out of bootleggers, who were smuggling in the illegal substance. The 3D film is set to debut December 25, 2012 and will be directed by Baz Luhrmann, and will star Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan, and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway.
