Congrats to all the Russians and Qatar(ians) for winning the hosting duties of the 2018 and 2022 World Cup respectively.  It sucks for us Americans as we all thought we were going to get 2022 but the selection committee thought otherwise and rewarded Qatar.  Wait – what’s a Qatar?!

    They gave the world cup to a country that still uses lashes as a legal, public punishment­. They better set up extra lashing posts outside the matches for when the European nations arrive.
