In lieu of our previous article (Clipse manager gets busted in $10 million drug bust) I saw this article and wanted to share it with our readers. Portugal decriminalized drugs back in 2001 and this article from The Times reviews the agenda on whether it was a success, and if it could possibly work in the United States. The Portuguese decided to focus their drug problem on helping addicts with rehab instead of throwing them in jail, like we do here in the U.S. The numbers speak for themselves.
